Thinking About A Twitter Accout?

Do you think you want to open a Twitter account? Here are some things to know.

Carefully choose the name you're going to use. Twitter is your front window and it
should look accordingly. Short names are easy to remember, so
find the one that suits you best.

Make sure your password is strong.

It is recommended to attach a picture or an avatar to your profile page.
Accounts without an image will always be considered as spam.

Look for your friends and family members, to share your thoughts with.
Use Gmail/Yahoo/Hotmail addresses and automatically add
them to your followers group.

Make sure there are no mistakes in your spelling.

Some people want to hear your voice some don't, so don't take
it too personally, if you get no answer.

Remember, the whole world can see what you write and even
though tweets can be deleted, they can be searched

Use different passwords, or even better still, set up separate email accounts
for your social networks. That way, if you stop your account, you can easily
delete the email account too. Be mindful of where you are sending your
updates and the types of security questions you set.

Keep in mind there's always a possibility to protect your messages from getting
to strangers, by turning your settings into "private" mode. As a result, no one besides
those you were granting access to follow, will be able to watch your public posts .

To find people share mutual interests use Twitter search engines to maximize
your query results, like Twazzup, Tweetzi or Twitter's own search engine.

How many tweets should users send per day? It's up to you to decide.
From one hand, people do like reading interesting posts, smart ideas or
fascinating links, so if you plan providing quality content, the more the merrier.

A good thing to know for all your accounts is how to cancel them.
Here are the steps to cancel you Twitter account.

Go to the Twitter home page, at www.twitter.com and log in to your Twitter account.

On the right side of your home page, you will see your screen name, and two links.
One link will be to update your profile, and the other link will be a
link to change your Twitter settings.

Click on the Settings link, which will take you to the page that has all of the
options you can use to personalize your account, add or change your personal
information and make other account adjustments.

The "account" tab should already be selected. Scroll down, and on the lower
left hand side of the page in blue, you will see an option that says
"Delete My Account". Click on this link.

A confirmation page will be displayed, asking if you want to delete
your account. Click on the confirmation link to delete your
Twitter account. That's all there is to it.
